Logistics Administrator

HH Recruitment are searching for a Logistics Administrator on behalf of our client. Our client are a leading Logistics company being established in the UK and abroad for more than 30 years they have an enviable reputation.

As the Logistics Administrator you will be responsible in assisting the general day to day running of the DC, speaking to clients, and assisting the warehouse manager when needed.

This role will be working direct in the distribution center and warehouse in a small designated office, therefore the facilities and surrounding are as such. This means candidates will be expected to wear safety shoes and Hi-viz, you must be comfortable in a very busy warehouse setting with FLT and machinery working around you daily.

Candidate requirements;

  • Previous experience in a fast paced office or Distribution environment
  • Strong IT Skills is a MUST experience of Microsoft packages - Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Take control and organise the schedule of incoming and outgoing goods
  • Highly organised
  • Ability to multi task
  • Self Motivated
  • Experience using Avery Software printing system would be an advantage but not required

Role includes but is not limited to;

  • Receive bookings from Suppliers
  • Confirm booking with supplier providing job reference and delivery slot
  • Process inners/ outers labels on the Avery system
  • Liaise with clients if we have any issues with labels
  • Liaising with Warehouse Manager to confirm when goods will be ready for delivery
  • Complete booking in form and arrange delivery slots with clients
  • Book transport with haulier
  • Provide haulier with the booking in forms and reference before delivery
  • Provide pallet and BDCM information for invoicing purposes
  • Update weekly worksheet
  • Provide weekly trackers for certain supplier
  • Deal with any discrepancies on orders received
  • Deal with any discrepancies

This role is offered with an immediate start on a contract basis, with the option to be taken on direct with the client after an initial probation period, which will be determined at interview stage.

Full training will be offered however due to the fast paced nature and changing of live schedules incoming/outgoing goods candidates will need to have the skills above in order to manage.

Hours will be working from 8am-4pm however during busy periods you may be asked to work later, weekend work is also available if you would like to work them.
